Theatrical Productions

March 6th, 2010

Do you ever go to a school production or a dance studio recital to watch and support a family member or friend? Ever notice all the parents trying to hold their little handy-cams trying to capture the moment? Can you imagine the image and sound quality they are getting? And while they are trying to hold the camera as steady as they can and keep it somewhat framed and in focus, they are actually missing the performance and not truly enjoying the moment. My advice: leave the camera home, enjoy the show and spend a few bucks on a professionally produced video. That’s where we come in.

Video Adventures has several yearly theatrical clients who know the value of having a professionally produced video of their staged productions. They know that over the years we have provided them a high end, multi-camera production, delivered on DVD, that is creative and far beyond their expectations. With exceptional images and sound, as well as packaging, they know the true value of what a professionally produced video from Video Adventures can be.

We are always looking for theatrical production companies who would truly enjoy a high level of creative video production that we offer.

Here is a Video Testimonial from one such client, Dr. Roger Minkle.

Happy Valentine’s Day

February 16th, 2010

On Valentine’s Day while most people were thinking about romance, candy and flowers, we spent most of the day shooting the St. Bartholomew Chapel Dedication Services on the Rincon Indian Reservation in San Diego County. The original chapel was destroyed in the Oct. 2007 wildfire. The Chapel was rebuilt and reborn on February 14th 2010 with about 200 parishioners and guests attending. It was a two-camera shoot for the 2 hour dedication service with many interviews afterwards from everyone involved in the reconstruction and from the community.

St Bartholomew 1

The new Chapel.

This is one amazing piece of architecture with a precision designed ceiling for optimum acoustics. The Chapel is part of the Southwest environment with reinforced rammed earth walls. This allows for better insulation in the often hot, arid climate. The chapel is highly, fire resistant, understandably. From the recycled metal and steel to the drought resistant landscaping, the chapel is part of the land from which it was reborn. All these elements (and more) make this worship center a distinctive part of the Rincon Reservation.

We were honored to be a part of the history, dedication and documentation of St. Bartholomew’s Chapel which will be featured in the video.

Now, who took my box of chocolates?

Video Blogs

January 23rd, 2010

I just finished shooting a commercial, editing a wedding video and published a video blog for a new client, Wine and Jazz Magazine. Now I have to edit the commercial, prepare to shoot the Charity 4 Charity “Valley of the Stars” event on January 30th at Wilson Creek Winery and shoot not one, but two stage productions in Tustin, CA. And still, I have plenty to editing right here in the studio; not to mention a continuous daily effort to learn new software. It never ends. I need to clone myself.

The future for advertizing is the internet. And the future is here, NOW! And what do people want to do? People like to watch video. Having produced 100’s of Wedding Videos over the past 25 years, I continue to see the value of these treasured family heirlooms only increase over time. Still, some brides don’t realize how important and meaningful a beautifully produced Wedding Video can be. Some brides haven’t even seen a professionally produced wedding video!

She’s dreamed about this special day probably ever since she was a small child. She’s now fallen in love and has gotten engaged to the man of her dreams. After months of preparation, it finally arrives; this one special day. Her Wedding Day! Then suddenly, the day passes like a flash!

One bride writes us: “My wedding day went by so fast…it was like a blur. Thank goodness for my wedding video. There are moments in the video that I don’t remember or I didn’t see. I didn’t see the bridal party enter the church for the celebration or the reception because I was at the end of the procession. I didn’t see my parents with tears in their eyes during our exchange of vows because I was looking at my man. I didn’t see the guys toasting one last time behind the church (it’s a good thing our minister didn’t see them either); but it’s all captured on our wedding video”.

A Wedding Video is the only way to capture all the emotions, excitement, laughter and the words the bride and groom share with each other. When we produce one of our Cinematic Wedding Movies, the bride and groom soon realize that the most valued treasure from their wedding day is their Wedding Video.

Knowing this fact, I do what I can to help the engaged couple get the Wedding Video of their dreams by offering customized packages, payment options and suggestions to help make their day a memorable one. Just listen to what some of our former brides and grooms are saying on our Testimonial page. After all, it’s your wedding. Share it forever!

Here is a Pre-Wedding clip from a wedding currently being edited. Enjoy!
